Water Boreholes & Ground Source Heat Pumps in Berkshire

Over 28 projects completed across Berkshire. Free site assessments and no-obligation estimates.

Berkshire has been part of our regular operating area for years, with 28 completed projects across the county — from the Wokingham, Reading and Maidenhead corridor north of the M4 to the Thames Valley estates around Ascot and Sunningdale. Our crews work the SL and RG postcode areas weekly, delivering water boreholes, ground source heat pumps and soakaways for residential, agricultural and commercial clients.

Local geology in Berkshire

🧭

Berkshire's geology is mixed. The northern Thames Valley around Twyford and Henley sits on the Thames Group (London Clay) — productive water boreholes need to drill through the clay into the underlying chalk, typically 60-100m. Around Wokingham, Bracknell and Ascot you're on the Bracklesham and Barton groups (sandy/clayey beds) where water yields can vary by site. The chalk aquifer beneath provides reliable water at depth and is the target for most water-supply boreholes in the county.

Every site is different. A desk-based geological assessment is always the starting point for any project.
